The International Forum for Public Health (IFPH) is a non-profit organisation that works to advance public health and global health. Founded in 2002, IFPH aims to improve health outcomes through education, professional training, and workshops, and it publishes peer-reviewed research so scientists and practitioners can share evidence on human health and well-being.
IFPH concentrates on health promotion and disease prevention, and on preparing the next generation of health professionals to meet current public health challenges. It brings together researchers, community leaders, and policymakers to develop practical, evidence-based approaches to public health, with attention to how health and lifestyle shape population outcomes.
The organisation’s work is grounded in evidence and delivered through scientific research, education, and professional training. IFPH delivers one- and two-day (or longer) workshops that provide health professionals with intensive, focused training to strengthen their skills and support their continuing professional development.
IFPH convenes academics, governments, and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) from around the world to examine how public health challenges affect the development of the global health workforce.
IFPH treats public health as a field where several dimensions meet: the life sciences and culture, the individual and the community, ethics and evidence, and research and action. Working with international partners, it pursues a long-term goal of building a durable foundation for progress and helping to shape the practice of public health in the twenty-first century.
